Finally, after much deliberation, I've decided to get this. It's EF-S, yes, so that means I'm pretty committed to a cropped frame camera. Some have advised me on how great a full-frame camera is, but my short-term budget pretty limits me to at most an EOS 7D. Besides, there's too much pessimism about cropped frame cameras. I'm not going to be a professional anytime soon, so a large format sensor isn't all that necessary. And excellent photos doesn't only rely on a good camera; the photographer's skills play a big part too. Composure, lighting, being at the right time etc. comes with practice and experience. So I'll pretty much focus on improving these 'soft' skills before getting top-tier hardware for capturing 'perfect' images.
